January 2007 Archive
1/15 - It was Jan 14th in the U.S. and the Bears gave me an
anniversary gift by winning 27 - 24
in overtime over the Seahawks. I can
honestly say that it was a game that was worth waking up at
2:45 a.m. to
watch. Hats off to the Seahawks that was a great game (by the way I was
prepared to
say that even if the Bears lost). The Bears need to bring
their "A" game next week against the Saints.
Rest assured I'll be
watching...
1/14 - It's our 12 year Anniversary! No major plans for today, we
went to the Macaroni Grill and ate breakfast. I think that is going to
be our big outing for
the day. Riley has spent most of the evening
playing with the neighborhood kids.
Last night we went to a going away party for my friend Matrix. Yep that's his real first name! We went to a local restaurant named Yakiniku. It was very cool and laid back atmosphere and we cooked our own food. It was an all you can eat and all you can drink (all you can drink had a 2 hour time limit) for about $20 a person. It was mainly Marines from my office so some of the faces should look familiar from Christmas and Korea pictures.
Three a.m. Okinawa time I will be up watching the Bears playoff game.
1/6 - I think the first picture say it all "It isn't easy being a
Princess". Riley has moved up in the world and has her own "Big Girl
Bed".
She is pretty excited and loves her new bed.
1/3 - First let me say Happy New Year! As you can see from the
pictures
Riley had an outstanding Christmas. These are really the only
pictures we got from
Christmas. We got it on video but that day was very
hectic. I had just come off of duty,
Sam was cooking up a storm for a
Christmas party and I had to clean up the aftermath
of hurricane Riley.
Speaking of the party, it went very well. We ate, played Scattergories and watched a movie.
Samantha designed the door but Riley helped put the snowman together.
Can you tell by Riley's clothes that we
don't have your "normal" winter
weather here?

In loving memory of
Magnolia "Maggie" Quailes

For those who don't know Maggie has passed on to a better
place. She was suffering from kidney
failure and hadn't eaten in 2
weeks. We didn't want her to suffer so we let her go. She has been a
good
friend to Riley and Brandi as well as a great family member to us.
We will miss her and will never forget
the good times she gave us.
Rest in Peace my friend...
