July 2007 Archive
7/22 - Hello again from Okinawa Japan. In case you didn't know we
had a Typhoon on Fri the 13th. Typhoon Man-Yi was somewhere between
a
category 4 or 5. It by far was the worst Typhoon I have seen and I was
here in the mid 90's as well. If you want to see some videos of the
Typhoon you can click on this link which will take you to You Tube.
Man Yi videos There was very little structural damage that we
saw but tons
of trees down. We lost power for most of the day and lost
cable and internet for about 3 days. So if you would like to see so
pictures of the rain
and our boredom click here.
ZAQ
has started to move around the house by "scoot crawling". He has started
to figure
out how to pull himself up on his own. He can even sit up on
his own from laying on his belly.
And so it begins... Two little ones
tearing down the house instead of just one.
Riley
is becoming a "girlie girl". She likes to play dress up and has wanted
to wear dresses to
daycare all the time. That is odd especially since
she is the only girl in her daycare. As you can
see from the pictures
she got new dress up clothes. She can be Aerial, Belle or Cinderella.
Well that's all I have for now. until next time...
7/4 - Happy Fourth of July! This is a time to celebrate
independence and freedom (which by the way, in case you did not know
Freedom Isn't Free).
This 4th we are spending it with a friend and her
boys.
Well
let's catch up. In the beginning of Jun Riley had her dance recital. She
did very well, even when she had a little girl in a head lock.
The
recital was about an hour long and included all different age groups.
Riley had a good time and wasn't the least bit stage fright.
See all of
Riley's recital pictures here.
Zachary
has 2 teeth now and has started eating baby food. He is scooting around
on the floor so he will be crawling in no time.
He had a check up
recently and I'll let Sam give you the scoop on that when she gets a
chance to hop on here to do an update,
but I can tell you he weighs
17lbs and is healthy. He has slept all the way through the night this
week. When I say all through the
night I mean he goes to sleep around 9
or 10 and doesn't wake up until 6 or 7. We have been waiting for this
for a long time.
Child Labor? Well I decided to clean off the back porch and Riley wanted
to help so she put on her swimsuit and
boots and got to scrubbing!
Maybe if I keep the kids motivated about helping Daddy I can get some
good workout
of them when they get older. I know wishful thinking.
Also
in the month of June, Master Sergeant Mathieu retired. I was a part of
the retirement ceremony and you can
see those pictures on my page as
well as pictures from my trip to Seattle. The Seattle pictures are from
the Space Needle.
Also check out Cake Lady Cakes page new look. Samantha has been baking a
lot of cakes lately and she wanted the page to have a new
look, so check
it out and let us know what you think.
More updates to follow...
7/2 - I know I went over a month without an update. Give me
a few more days and we should have a good update. I have an all night
duty tomorrow, so I
will have plenty of time to get this done. Sorry...
