3/18
- Well we are still doing well. Thurs night ZAQ only woke up once
that night vice his normal three times,
so things are looking up. Riley
is such a good big sister. One morning I was downstairs on the computer
and
Sam was taking a shower when Riley came to get me and tell me that
Zachary was crying in his crib and I
needed to go get him. She tells us
he's hungry when he cries and gets the bottle for us. So far Riley is
adjusting well to having a little one in the house taking some of the
attention she used to have. All that know
Riley, know that she loves
attention!
Riley started dance class Thurs night and she had a blast. It is a
ballet class and no she didn't wear the boots during class.
It is the
3-5 yr old age group with about 5 other children in the class. She gets
to play dress up and dance around, what
else could a little girl want?
This is what happens when a 3 yr old runs around the house with the
camera screaming
"Say Cheese!"
Okay you caught me sleeping on the job! The truth is for those of you
who have known us a while know that about the
first 50 pictures of Riley
and I were of us sleeping.
Here are some recent pictures of Zachary
These pictures and more are also in Picture Mania.
This week I will be sending in my registration for this year's Marine
Corps Marathon. They have an early registration for active
duty and
reservist military.
3/9 - A lot has happened over the last month as most of you know. But first I want to thank some special people:
G. B. - You know why.
Darlene - For taking care of Zachary.
Chanin - For making the life changing phone call.
Mom and Dad Hubbard for putting up with us tearing your house apart for
a month.
Mom - Thank you for raising me all by yourself, I understand more now
than ever how hard it was for you...
And everyone who has been there for us with love, help and support.
Ok now to give you the down and dirty on this past month and info on the latest addition to the Quailes family.
Well let me tell a little bit about young Zachary. He is about 12 lbs
(he's an eater!) and after he gets done eating he gets the hiccups.
Once
Zachary is sleeping he is a heavy sleeper. You can move him from place
to place or make a ton of noise (Riley) and he won't wake up.
Speaking of Riley she is a great big sister. She always wants to help;
she helps change his diapers, feed him and gives him tons of hugs and
kisses.
She tells everyone how cute her baby Zachary is. Riley also
taught baby Zachary how to fly on an airplane because big sisters teach
their baby
brothers important things. If this last, I have a feeling
these two will be a force to be reckoned with. Watch out world the
Quailes kids are coming!

Our
plane ride was pretty uneventful and long. The first leg of the flight
was almost
15 hours and the second leg was about 3 hours. ZAQ slept 90%
of the trip and
Riley was good most of the way but as you can imagine
Riley got a little antsy
about 75% of the way through the trip. Even
though Riley had a good visit with
family she was happy to be home (home
= where the Marine Corps sends you).
This is ZAQ chillin' on the big pillow here in Oki.
Here's the family at the Tokyo Steakhouse in Maryland (ironic that we
are eating Japanese food in the US after being stationed in
Japan for a
year).
Changed the name of the picture gallery that used to say "Welcome ZAQ"
to "To Maryland and Back" I have added some pictures and comments.
So
take another look at that page.
Keep checking back to follow the adventures of the Okinawa based Quailes family.
